Download-Center
"All files at one place at a glance" (AFOPAG)
General
ACVacars' Download-Center (DC), accessible by the Main's menu, offers different categories of downloadable ACV-files to ACV-members. The listed files can be downloaded by either double-clicking them or with right-click for opening the context menu of each and then by clicking the download-entry. Do not forget to execute installer-files after downloading them. ACV flights can only be flown with ACV aircraft. Therefore, you have to install the respective ACV aircraft livery either by semi-automated FanMod installer or by manual installation.
Sections Overview
The main sections of this window are:
- DC Settings/Exe-Parameters / [Open folder-path] button / [Livery Manual Installation] button
- Server Modi (Server/Local, Server only, Local only) regarding FSim selection
- Categories section, listing the specific files
- Colorous legend, self-explaining what color of the listed files in the category-listbox does mean.
- Download-buttons for semi-automized downloads, be aware, downloading all flightplans at once can take several minutes.
Categories
The following file categories are available:
- Checklists, look at this category to find ACV-checklists to the specific aircraft. For most but not (yet) for all ACV aircraft do checklists exist.
- Aircraft, clicking that tab lists the available "FanMod Installers". FanMod installers contain ACV livery files and sometimes additional modification files. See the change-log files of the respective FanMod installer to get more information what will be installed.
- Sceneries, here are FanMod installers listed which contain scenery modification files to mod specific airports. See the specific change-log for further details.
- Flightplans, this category lists all flightplan files containing waypoint-routes to many of the available ACV bids/flights. These flightplans are optional. Be aware, the contained waypoints are not always up to date. Use tools like Simbrief to get individual flightplans with updated waypoint-routes.
- Miscellaneous, herein are downloadable files listed not matching the other categories.
Right-click to open the context menu of each file, e.g. for re-install an installer or to view the changelog of an installed installer. The context menu contains the following entries:
- (Re)Download, click to download the marked/selected file
- (Re)Install, click to install the downloaded installer exe file (only FanMod installer)
- (Re)Download and (Re)Install, click to perform both steps in this sequence (only FanMod installer)
- Delete, click to delete the marked/selected file
- Uninstall, click to uninstall the marked/selected FanMod installation (only FanMod installer)
- Delete and Uninstall, click to perform both steps in this sequence (only FanMod installer)
- View ChangeLog, click to view the ChangeLog file of a FanMod installer after its installation (only FanMod installer)

DC Settings
Depending on the pre-given VA rules, some of these DC settings can be changed and some not. The not changeable ones are greyed out and not clickable.
- Check new files during startup, if activated, ACVacars checks the ACV server for new files while start-up process of ACVacars.
- Show Download-Center if new files, if checked, the Download-Center is being shown automatically after the start-up of ACVacars if any new files on the ACV server have been found.
- Auto-Download new files, if checked, any new files on the ACV server will be downloaded automatically at the end of ACVacars's start-up process.
- Auto-Install downloaded files, if activated, any downloaded installer are being executed automatically after its download completion.
- Auto-Copy new Flightplan to FSim, if checked, any downloaded flightplan-files are being copied to the flightplan folder of the selected flight simulation.
Exe-Parameters
This part-section lists important installer-exe parameters (also known as "console exe-parameters"). Any ACV FanMod installer will respect these exe-parameters during FanMod installer execution (if a parameter is of relevance for the installation). Depending on the pre-given VA rules some of these „ExeParam“, can be changed and some not. The not changeable ones are greyed out and not clickable. The following installer-exe parameters are available:
- ExeParam0 (Password), containing the password to the FanMod installer, not changeable
- ExeParam1 (FSimDeleteFolderShader), if activated, the FanMod installer deletes the temporary shader folder of the selected flight simulation at the end of the installation process.
- ExeParam2 (2DGaugesAs3DRender), if checked, the FanMod installer modifies the specific cfg file to achieve the rendering of the 2D gauges as 3D render (legacy, only FSX)
- ExeParam3 (Activate TCAS), if set, the FanMod installer activated the TCAS entry in the specific cfg file if available (legacy, only FSX)
- ExeParam4 (Activate Liveries), if checked, the newly installed ACV liveries of this FanMod installer are set to active.
- ExeParam5 (DeactivateStdLiveries), if checked, all other ACV liveries of the aircraft installation are set to inactive after installation of the new ACV liveries. To make sure that only ACV liveries are loaded by the flight simulation during the FSim starting-up process.
- ExeParam6 (InstallEmptyFolderOK), legacy, only FSX.
As of now, only the following exe parameters are still of relevance (P3Dv5, XP11/12, MSFS): ExeParam0, ExeParam1, ExeParam4, ExeParam5.
